Event Massage at the Tour de Cure 2013

On July 20th, I volunteered along with a few other sports massage therapists from around Portland to provide post-event massage for the cyclists who participated in the Tour de Cure Ride.  It is structured for cyclists of all experience levels, with routes ranging from 5 to 100 miles.  The event is in support of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and raises funds that go toward research, education and advocacy in the fight to stop diabetes.  It happens annually, and across 44 states.  Over 1,000 riders, sponsors and volunteers participated in the Portland event, and raised $375,000!!  I am happy to have had the opportunity to contribute!
